Studio Policies

DRESS REQUIREMENTS

We ask that you dress your child comfortably, preferably in leotards and tights. However, t-shirts, shorts or sweats are acceptable depending on teachers requirements for that class. Appropriate shoes for dance class should be worn for each class and need to be purchased no later then Oct. 1. Ballet shoes may be used for Jazz classes of younger students. Bare feet, footless tights or gymnastics shoes for Acro classes.

NO JEANS, COSTUMES, BAGGY CLOTHING OR JEWELRY.

This apparel does not allow the students to tumble comfortably or safely, nor does it allow the teacher to see body lines for correct technique.

Hair needs to be pulled back and secure at all times.

 ATTENDANCE

Students that are in competition classes are required to attend classes. We only have so many weeks that allow us to get completely prepared. Please try not to miss. We do understand if emergencies come up, or if you are sick.

Please make it a weekly habit to ask your child if the instructor gave out any notes in class. Many times messages are left in pockets or dance bags and parents never receive them.

 MISCELLANEOUS

  • ·      Each time there is information posted at the studio, it will be posted here on the website as well. So this will include the following: newsletters, studio closings, important dates and special classes that may be offered.
  • ·      If there is a closing due to bad weather,  Dana will either send a text to your cell phone or you can call and listen for closings by calling the studio for recorded message or you may call me at 358-7623. We will also try to have cancellations announced on the local radio stations..
  • ·       If any injury occurs, please let the instructors know asap so that no futher injury occurs.

PHOTO RELEASE

When you sign up with Dance Creations, you give our studio permission to take photographs of the students to use on our website, for our posters, advertisements or any other promotional materials that this studio may create.

*Solo Class $60.00 a month 1/2 hour

*Solo Class $100.00 a month 1 hour

*Solo Routine $100.00 for 6 weeks

*Duet Class $60.00 1/2 hour (30.00 each)

*Trio/Ensembles Class $60.00 1/2 hour (20.00 each)

 

Recital & Rehearsal Information

Every year, our students here at Dance Creations look forward to participating in a recital so they can show each parent what they have accomplished and how proud and confident of themselves they are. 

As time gets closer, we will provide all the information for rehearsal, pictures and recital date.

 Recital Fee

There is a $40.00 recital fee per child and this fee goes toward paying for all recital expenses.

 Costumes

Costumes for the recital are purchased for each student. Each costume varies in prices, however, we try to keep costumes to a resonable cost. They can average anywhere from $40.00 - $135.00 depending on what each instrutor and child pick out and agree upon. There are times that we try to use a costume that was used from the prior year, this just depends on what the instructor chooses to do.
