I am 37, an LPN charge nurse part time at the Villas in Desoto. I reside in the Farmington area where I have lived for approximately 35 years. I was born in San Diego, CA due to my father being in the Navy. I have a wonderful set of parents. My father pasted away approximately 8 years ago and that was extremely tough on me. Luckily with the help of my husband, daughter, mother, step-father and friends, I made it through the tough times. However, my best friend in the world is my mother.
I enjoy being with my friends, going to movies, out to eat, dancing and to the races. I have a wonderful marriage of 5 years this March, although I have been with my husband for 14 years. We have one daughter, McKinsey Shyane Amonette that is 12 years old, and a handful.
I have been with Dance Creations for about 25 years. I started taking acro when I was 12 years old, and added pom’s a few years later. The pom squad was called "Mineral Area Mascots." When I first started acro, I absolutely hated it. After I broke my leg and was out for 6 weeks, I realized I missed it. I have worked at Dance Creations since I was 14 years old. I still continue to volunteer my time at the studio every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I love my instructor Dana Pipkin-Anderson, which is like my best friend to me, and I truly love the rest of the gang.
My daughter, McKinsey Shyane Amonette has followed in her mother's footsteps and spends most of her time at Dance Creations. She started taking classes at 18 months and has been taking them ever since. She started doing solos at age 3 and has been competing ever since. She has taken ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, tap, acro, cheerleading, sports acro, and gymnastics, winning multiple awards. Her room is full of trophies, ribbons, plaques and medals. She is a special gifted child when it comes to dance and acro. She also has played soccer in the past, has modeled, is on the cheerleading squad at school, and is beginning to become a golfer. She excels at everything she does and her parents, grandparents are extremely proud of her.
